A sea of plated-through holes on a 0.1" grid for easy soldering of standard through-hole components, makes virtually all of the shield's area functional for prototyping. Mix DIP packages with switches, resistors, capacitors, LEDs, diodes, transistors, voltage regulators, connectors, etc. to build your unique creation using point-point wiring.
