Product Details
Description:
Adapt9S12DP512 is a compact, modular "AdaptS12" form factor board, compatible with an entire range of application cards, prototyping cards, and backplanes, and usable with solderless breadboards ("proto boards"). It includes all necessary support circuitry for the MCU, as well as a 5-Volt regulator, RS232, RS485, and CAN transceivers on-board.
Here are a few ways you can use Adapt9S12DP512:
- Flash-based code development using on-chip Serial Monitor
The Freescale Serial Monitor is supported by CodeWarrior, NoICE12, uBug12, and other third-party development tools. It resides in the uppermost 2K protected block of Flash memory. Use it to load your program into Flash via the serial port. The remaining 510K Flash can be programmed in about a minute! Reset the board with the Load/Run switch in the Load position to access the Serial Monitor. Send your file to the board and, if you included a Reset Vector in your program, it will run every time you apply power or reset the board.
- Flash-based code development using a BDM pod
If you want to take advantage of the debug/monitor functions of D-Bug12, but you'd like to use all the Flash for your program, you can use a BDM pod (such as MicroBDM12LX5) to erase and load Flash with your program. The entire 512K Flash can be used, because the memory-resident Serial Monitor is no longer needed.
- Low-cost Solution for C source-level code debugging with ICC12, NoICE12, and a MicroBDM12LX5 pod
Now you can take advantage of the debug/monitor functions of NoICE12 to perform source-level debugging with ImageCraft's ICC12 C compilers, using our MicroBDM12LX5.
