Esduino
Of course, you are still free to choose any of the code development tools you like: CodeWarrior, AS12, ICC12, GCC, nqBASIC, Serial Monitor, BDM pod, noICE, etc. Hey, there's even an ongoing community effort to port the standard Arduino environment to 9S12-- if you're interested in getting involved, let us know! Esduino is offered in 32K and 128K versions, and comes with a USB retrofit and on-board 3V regulator. Arduino Prototyping Shields The few prototyping shield designs on the web for Arduino so far ignore the serious prototypist. If you want to put a lot of functionality on a single shield, we have the designs you need! Four different designs, including "sea-of-holes", quad horizontal, quad vertical, and 5-pad groupings, some with busses and some without. Find the full-size templates here: New BDM Pods!
USBDMLT is a great little low-cost BDM pod with USB interface! This BDM pod supports S08, HC12, S12, S12X, and even ColdFire V1 chips! We based the design on the open source Freescale Community Project design for USBDM and threw is some enhancements of our own: option to power your target via the host USB port at 3V or 5V (or not at all)., and a nice little USB memory-stick style case. A standard 6-pin BDM connector cable is supplied, and the product is compatible with CodeWarrior and noICE. The best part is it costs less than $50! |
Adapt9S12XEP100
Imagine having 1M flash and 64K RAM on a 9S12 chip! That's exactly what you get on Freescale's high-end 9S12XEP100, the MCU used on our new Adapt9S12XEP100 board! And the bus speed can be cranked up to 50 MHz (a 25% increase over the earlier S12XD chips). Of course there is also the XGATE 80MHz RISC co-processor on chip, and a complete range of peripherals, including dual 8-channel 12-bit analog-to-digital convereter subsystems. This product is an obvious choice for the "power user". Just like all Adapt9S12 boards, you can select from a multitude of connector options to implement whatever topology suits your needs. And it is compatible with our whole range of application and prototyping cards. Adapt9S12XS128
EvalH1 Trainer Board
We've had many requests for a comprehensive trainer for use with the S12(X). While there are already a couple of dedicated trainers out there for specific MCUs, there's nothing as full-featured and flexible as our new AMPS EvalH1 Interface Training Board! It is compatible with virtually all of our Adapt Modular Prototyping System products, from the very earliest Adapt11 all the way to the latest, Adapt9S12XEP100. That means you're not stuck with one microcontroller choice. You could start out with something simple, and swap it out later for something more advanced. Some of the cool features included are: XBee Zigbee wireless support, USB and/or RS232 interface, support for standard character LCDs, on-board dual h-bridge motor driver circuit, RGB LED, dual-axis joystick selector for creating easy-to-navigate user interfaces, support for a matrix keyapd, and of course the usual DIP switch, bargraph, audio transducer, etc. Our Newest Distributor
