We've re-configured our popular NanoCore12 robot bundle to use the lower-cost MicroCore-11 motor driver module, resulting in a significant cost reduction! This bundle includes a modified off-the-shelf radio-controlled car bundled with a NanoCore12DX module, the MicroCore-11 motor driver module, a solderless breadboard, and a pair of line-following sensors. This combination provides a very economical starting point for implementing your own robot or autonomous vehicle. The car provides a versatile base that includes two high quality 6V gear motors, wheels, and a removable battery tray that holds four AA batteries (we recommend NiMH or NiCd). There is plenty of room for additional batteries and sensors, and the breadboard makes hooking them up a lot easier. Such additional features as distance sensors, cameras, and wireless communication can be added by the user.

A robot control program can be written in the free nqBASIC programming language or you can use assembler, BASIC, or C to program your robot. Click on Details tab, above, for more info.
